Passport Information
For Air Travel:
The US government requires all adults and children (even newborns) to have a valid passport book for all air travel to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda.
For Sea Travel:
The passport requirement extends to sea travel (except closed loop cruises), including ferry service, beginning in the summer of 2009. U.S. citizens traveling by sea must have a passport book or passport card.
